Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Home Project Pilot.
Effective date: September 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Home Project Pilot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. We may modify these terms; continued use constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
4. Platform purpose
Home Project Pilot provides information, diagnostic tools, contractor directories and cost guidance to help homeowners make informed decisions. We do not perform home services, act as a contractor, or guarantee work performed by third parties.
5. Contractor listings and quote requests
Contractor information is compiled from public and licensed sources. Quote requests are delivered to the contact details we have found online. We cannot guarantee those details are correct or current unless the contractor is registered with Home Project Pilot.
6. Trust scores and ratings
Trust scores are produced by our proprietary model from verifiable data. The formula, weightings and component set are confidential and not published. Contractors cannot pay to improve a score or placement. Scores reflect available information at a point in time and are not a guarantee of future performance.
7. Membership and payments
Some features require a paid membership. Fees are shown on the Membership page. Billing and cancellation are handled through the payment processor shown at checkout. Refunds are at our discretion unless required by law.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the platform to harass, defraud, scrape data, interfere with operations, or violate any law. Abuse may result in suspension or termination without notice.
9. Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties to the extent permitted by law. Cost estimates, diagnostic results, AI output and contractor ratings are informational and do not replace professional inspection or advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Home Project Pilot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or reliance on information provided through it.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cass County, North Dakota.
